BOX OFFICE POLICIES



2020-2021 Academy Registrations

All classes are subject to minimum enrollment.

Gateway Academy reserves the right to cancel any program due to situations beyond our control. A full refund will be provided for any program that Gateway Academy cancels before the program start date. For cancellations that occur after the program has started, a pro-rated refund will be provided for classes that have not taken place.

Payment for sessional classes must be made in full upon registration.

All refund requests are subject to a Course Withdrawl Fee.

Fall Session classes: Refunds are available until October 20 2020, after which no refunds will be issued.

Winter Session classes: Refunds are available until January 6 2021, after which no refunds are issued.

All registrations and payments are non-transferrable between individuals.

A $25 fee will be charged for NSF cheques.



Admittance - Children

Gateway Theatre Signature Series Performances:

While some of our shows are appropriate for children, most of our Signature Series shows are geared towards adults. Please contact the box office and we can help you decide if a show is appropriate.

Please Note: All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please use discretion when choosing whether to bring children to a performance. Children must be able to sit quietly throughout the performance to ensure they are not disruptive to the performance and other patrons. Patrons with preschool aged children may be re-seated near a rear exit at the Front Of House Manager's discretion, and be directed by an usher to leave the theatre at any time.

Infants and toddlers are not permitted at Gateway Theatre Signature Series shows.


All other performances:

Each person regardless of age must have a valid ticket to enter.

Minimum age restrictions may apply for some programming. Please contact the box office for more information.



Admittance - Latecomers

Gateway Signature Series Mainstage Performances:

Patrons who arrive late for Main Stage shows will be seated at the back of the theatre during a break in the play so they do not interfere with the performance onstage or disturb other patrons.

Gateway Signature Series Studio Performances:

Patrons will not be admitted after the show has started.

All Other Performances:

Latecomers may or may not be admitted at the Front Of House Manager's discretion, depending on the nature of the event, and admittance policy determined by the show's producer.



Refund & Exchange Policy

Gateway Theatre Signature Series Performances:

ALL TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

EXCHANGES for Gateway Signature Series tickets are subject to the following conditions:

1) Tickets may be exchanged for a different performance within the run of the same show, subject to availbility, by simply calling the Gateway Theatre Box Office at (604) 270-1812

2) An exchange fee will be applied as follows:

Season Subcription tickets: No Charge

All other tickets: $3 exchange fee per ticket.

If you are already in possession of your tickets, you must present the original tickets at the box office to claim your new tickets at the Gateway Theatre Box Office.

3) Requests for ticket exchanges will be accepted up to 24 hours prior to the performance date of the tickets you are holding. This provides the Gateway Theatre Box Office the opportunity to resell the exchanged tickets.

4) The difference in ticket price will be charged when upgrading your tickets to a more expensive night or seat.


All other performances:

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE/NON-EXCHANGABLE.



Lost Tickets

Gateway Theatre Signature Series Performances - Mainstage Theatre:

In the event that you have lost your tickets, please visit the Gateway Theatre Box Office or call (604) 270-1812 before your performance date.

Gateway Theatre Signature Series Performances - Studio Theatre:

Lost tickets for General Admission events will not be reissued / reprinted.

All other performances:

In the event that you have lost your tickets, please visit the Gateway Theatre Box Office or call (604) 270-1812 before your performance date.

Lost tickets for General Admission events will not be reissued / reprinted.



Order Fees & Mailing Fees

Gateway Theatre currently does not charge a per order service charge on ticket sales.

If requested, tickets and passes are sent via 1st Class Mail. A $1 mailing fee will apply. Delivery may take 5 to 7 business days to arrive.

No tickets will be mailed for performances within 7 days of the purchase date.

Gateway Theatre is not responsible for tickets lost or stolen in the mail.



Gift Passes

Valid for new purchases only. Cannot be combined with other promotional offers or discounts.

Redemptions for shows occurring in a future season are available only once single tickets go on sale (Please contact the Box Office at (604) 270-1812 for redemption start dates).

Gateway Theatre reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any dispute.
